Dr. Blank - Profile

Dr. Stephen G. Blank Dr. Blank is a 1982 graduate of Northwestern University Dental School, Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Blank married Jean, a physical therapist in 1982.  They have two children, Jessica and Casey.  Jessica is a FLORIDA  GATOR studying to be a physical therapist.  Casey is a senior at Port St. Lucie High School  and is on the deans list at IRCC for her dual enrollement course work. Casey was voted MVP of the PSLHS volleyball team.  (Jessica was MVP in 2004!!)

Dr. Blank practiced dentistry in North Miami Beach, Florida for 3 years before opening an office on Floresta Drive in Port St. Lucie, Florida in 1985. The office enjoyed the growth seen in Port St. Lucie.

In May of 1999 the office relocated to St. Lucie West and is in the Select Center.   Dr. Blank and his team are dedicated to improving oral health by educating each patient about oral health and by involving patients in their treatment.   Just fixing things is not our goal.  I want to help patients need less fixing!

Dr. Blank has completed an intensive continuing education program through the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study in St. Petersburg, FL.   TMJ analysis, diagnosis, occlusion (bite) and muscles were studied in depth.   In addition, Dr. Blank trained at the Piper Center under Dr. Mark Piper on TM joint diganosis and MRI evaluation.  With this training, Dr. Blank can better diagnose headaches, jaw aches, and bite problems.  Dr Blank and his team have completed a Smile Makeover program by the Hornbrook Group.  Dr. Blank has completed the Hornbrook Synergy program that involves complete mouth rehabilitation with patient participation.   This level of hands on training is the best available.   Dr. Blank is proud to be on the facutly of the
Hornbrook Group and continues to mentor other dentists and their teams in clinical techniques.   The focus of this education is to restore function to mouths that have simply worn out, with short or broken teeth and to create beautiful smiles that are natural and enhancing.  Cosmetics and smile design are incorporated for the full effect of the best dentisry available.    The dental  team has completed the DOCS (Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation) training.  We offer "Anxiety-Free" medicated care to help you relax through your visit with state of the art patient monitoring equipment.  We have added equipment to our office that allows us to evaluate and treat TMJ problems beyond the scope of what most dental offices can offer.  We are able to take x-rays of the TMJ,  Doppler studies,   Joint Vibrational Analysis of the TM joints, and and we incorporate the Tek Scan 2 for digital evaluation of the forces and timing of how the teeth come together when you bite.  Dr. Blank continues to exceed the state required 30 hours of continuing education every two years by averaging over 100 hours each and every year.  Dr. Blank and the dental team have completed an intensive one year continuing education program through the Center for Professional Development in March of 1996.  The team has also completed the Dental Boot Kamp Program in 2002 to all the way to the Masters level.  Many patients have commented very positively about the level of care they receive.   This is not by mistake, all patients that enter our office are treated with respect and gentleness as if they were our family.  Continuing education and self improvement is what keeps us on the leading edge of dental science.  Dr. Blank has continued his education at the Center for Professional Development by attending the Advanced Case Presentation workshop, a Facilitator Training program, and has attend the annual learning conferences for many years in addition to other courses.

Dr. Blank has taught continuing education courses for dental assistants, hygienists and dentists in conjunction with Indian River Community College's Dental Science department and the Treasure Coast Dental Hygiene Association.  Most recently Dr. Blank hosted a live patient program featuring laser dentistry for two patients with hygienist participants observing.

Dr. Blank is a Facilitator/Mentor with the Dental Boot Kamp  program and enjoys teaching dental teams around the country.  Dr Blank is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
